Home Away From Home

We know it can be stressful to leave your pet behind when you have to go out of town, especially if they are unwell or recovering from a surgery or procedure. At Paddock Park Animal Care Center, we want to help put your mind at ease.

We provide general pet boarding service for all of our patients as well and medical boarding services for pets with conditions that regular boarding services may not be able to accommodate.

We provide a fenced yard for pets to walk around in, multiple sizes of run for different pet sizes, temperature controlled boarding areas and spacious and private kennels which are perfect for pets who don't react well to other cats or dogs.F

Medical Pet Boarding for Cats & Dogs, Ocala Vet

Cat & Dog Boarding: A Typical Day

Dogs

Each morning, your dog will take a short walk outside for some fresh air with one of our veterinarians before breakfast. While they are outside, we will clean their kennel, stock it with fresh linens and disinfect it.

Depending on the physical capacity and ability of your pup, we will walk dogs who stay with us up to 3 times a day.

In the evening, dinner is served, and then we have one last walk before bedtime.

Cats

We keep dogs and cats separated from one another in our boarding areas to reduce stress on your pet during their stay. Your cat will be fed according to your specifications and their needs, and we will make sure that their routine is as close to home as possible.

Additionally, we refresh linens and clean your kitty's room daily.

Medical Boarding

Your pet will be supervised by our expert veterinarians in the course of their stay with us. We will administer any required medications and care that your beloved pet needs. We will also keep our medicine and care on the same schedule to keep at home as much as possible.

Your pet will be supervised by our expert veterinarians and nurses, who will administer medications and watch over them closely. Any required medications will be administered to your pet on the same schedule they are used to at home.

  • Do you offer daycare boarding services?

We offer daytime and overnight boarding services for pets. When you have to travel somewhere and can't leave your pet at home alone, our veterinarians are more than happy to help, regardless of the length of time.

For a small fee, we can care for your pet while you do what you need to do, and then you can reunite with them at the end of the day!

  • Is there a limit to the number of pets I can board at a time?

We have a large boarding facility and can accommodate up to 160 pets at any one time. If you give sufficient notice, we have plenty of space for boarding multiple pets at once for one pet owner.

Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to board family members (canine/canine or feline/feline) together.

  • How much does pet boarding cost?

Boarding fees will vary depending on the size of your pet, the length of their stay, and any special requirements for care that they might have.

  • What time should I drop off and pick up my pet?

We request that all pets be dropped off or picked up during our regular business hours. We encourage reservations for any boarding bookings, especially during summer weekends, and holidays.

At these times, we recommend calling 2-3 weeks in advance to increase the odds that a spot will be available at the time you would like.

  • How should I prepare for my pet's stay?

Every pet has its own unique needs. To prepare your companion for their stay with us, we will go through the following steps before boarding your pet:

Step 1: Contact us to get started

Call us to book, and to speak with us about any details we will need to know about you and your boarding needs. A team member will be more than happy to coordinate your booking with you.

Please note that, due to the nature of our accommodations, we do not accept unaltered dogs. Pets must be up to date with all vaccinations and free of fleas and ticks to stay at our facility.

Step 2: Book a trial stay

We must be completely sure that we are a good fit for your pet before they stay with us. To this end, a trial stay will involve a full day of daycare where we can take time to assess your pet's temperament and needs to ensure our facilities are right for them.

Step 3: Set your pet up for success

When you drop your pet off with us, there are a few steps you can take to help reduce any stress your pet may feel during the process.

Make sure to spend some extra time with your pet beforehand and make sure they get vigorous exercise, so they are feeling happy and calm. When you arrive at our facility, make sure to stay calm, cheerful, and confident while you are separated.
